Thelma Calimbas Madhok

We called Thelma "Be". She is the third child. Thelma is the most studious of the four of us. She was salutatorian in high school. She graduated at the University of Santo Tomas in Manila as a summa cum laude which is the highest grade one can achieved. She went on and obtain a Doctorate Degree in Biochemistry at the University of Minnesota and did several post doctoral work. She married Pawan Madhok from India. Pawan also studied at the University of Minnisota with two doctorate degrees: Financial and Engineering.They have two children Avni and Rishi. They settled in Minnesota in a town called New Brighton not far from Minneapolis. 

Thelma got married in India. My mother can not attend. She has a friend Amira Correla who attended. Even being alone, Pawan's family was very nice to Thelma. Even though she is a non-Indian wife, Pawan's family accepted her to the family. And so did Ma!

They were living in Minneapolis by that time attending school. So at that point of time, the four of us were scattered all over the US. I was in Chicago later to Texas, Fred is in NY, Thelma in MN and Cynthia is still in the Philippines. Cyn immigrated to the US later. My mother Nelly will also join us at some time. Ma Nelly alternated living with Thelma, Cynthia and with me.
